A Fruit A Month - Lychee Round up

When I announced the Lychee theme for A Fruit A Month event, not everyone was happy! Some of you actually hate these fruits (SHOCK!!!) and some of you (spoiled lot ;)) only like the fresh Lychees! I had a choice - pick a more popular fruit and make it easy for everyone. But what’s the fun in that? I like a tough challenge, if at least one person decided to try Lychees because of this event, and if at least […]

He is a scotch and beer guy himself, but loves to mix cocktails for me and for our parties. I make cocktails only once in a bluemoon, like when I have a girls night at my house, […]

Lychee is one of my favorite fruits; I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like lychee. I love the sweetness and the texture and it brings back a lot of childhood memories of palm fruits and young coconuts. Harvested during early summer, fresh lychees are available in Asian stores in spring and summer, and in canned form throughout the year. Lychee makes a wonderful addition to fruit salads and can be used to make a bunch of desserts and cocktails. A web search also revealed […]
