Hi Kristina, by instant tamarind, do you mean the tamarind paste? If that is the case, try 2 tbsps mixed in enough water to form four cups of liquid. Make sure the tamarind is mixed well with the water, you might want to heat it up a bit to dissolve it completely, and then cool the liquid down. We haven’t tried it with tamarind paste, so I suggest that you give it a try before the party to make sure it tastes good… Good luck with the curry party
