Awards, Long due thanks and a Me-Me

The Giveway

Have you entered your name for the $100 gift certificate and the cookbook giveaway? If not, what are you waiting for? Check this post out to see how to enter.

This is not a food related post. Yes, I know I made this big announcement some time ago about starting another blog for non-food posts, but who was I kidding? I am so lazy, it is a miracle that I am somewhat regular in maintaining this one blog, I might have been delusional to think I could actually handle two. So, you just have to learn to ignore my occasional rants here, if you are here just for the food.

Now, the subject of this post – Awards.  I feel so ashamed, feel like I should just send these awards back… I never really acknowledged all these nice people who passed these awards to me… Now these are so out of season, it is embarrassing to even display these, but here to you go… Its better late than never…

Thanks to Raaga and Sunita for thinking that I rock!

Thanks to Richa, Cynthia, Pravs and Anita for the Power of Schmooze Award. This award is for bloggers who “effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogosphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello – all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship.”

Thanks to Sandeepa, Anita and Arundati for the Thoughtful Blogger Award. It is for “those who answer blog comments, emails, and make their visitors feel at home on their blogs. For the people who take others’ feelings into consideration before speaking out and who are kind and courteous. Also for those bloggers who spend so much of their time helping other bloggers design, improve, and fix their sites. This award is for those generous bloggers who think of others.”

Since these are so old, and everyone I know have at least one of these, I am not passing these out to specific people. But this goes out to all of you out there who make my days brighter by leaving your footprints.

Now moving on to the new ones, Thanks to Mansi Desai for giving me the Nice Matters Award.

“Nice Matters Award is for those bloggers who are nice people; good blog friends and those who inspire good feelings and inspiration. Also for those who are a positive influence on our blogging world.”

I want to pass these on to each and every one of you reading this post, and particularly to the following people:

Rajitha of Hunger Pangs – For brightening up a lousy day, when I was feeling particularly low.

Nandita of Saffron Trail – For your friendship, and for always encouraging and promoting new bloggers.

Indira of Mahanandi – For a kind gesture, which really meant a lot, much more than you realize.

Now time for a me-me, before I forget. Padmaja of Spicy Andhra, tagged me for a short and sweet meme called Fantastic Four. We are supposed to write four points each on five different areas.
