Finally, My Baby is Here!

I’ve been waiting for months! And she is here, finally…. The wait is over, and boy, was she worth it or what!!! She is my fourth car, and the best one so far! I loved my Z3, it was a birthday gift from Siv, the one and only surprise he’s ever successfully pulled off! Z3 was awesome to drive, but even that doesn’t compare to this one! First of all, I got to pick out everything, the interior and exterior colors, options, gadgets etc. So she really is my baby. And the driving experience, I can’t even describe it! 0-60 in 6.7 seconds! And the handling is great, she corners like a go-cart…

So, wanna see my baby… Here she is, My Mini Cooper S…

She looks even more beautiful on the inside, I didn’t take any interior pictures though. Luckily I found some on the Mini web site, and the colors are exactly the same as mine!

    Cool yaar. I love the iPod features but the voice command thing is a pain. Totally agree about the GPS.

    I am waiting for the day I won’t need to drive an SUV anymore and it’s gonna be quite a while before I do. Till then, I live (drive) precariously through you.

    Vee, Voice command is a pain indeed, but I love playing with it, especially when stuck in traffic, just having someone to talk to (and who would actually listen) is fun :D… Hey, don’t complain, it is an SUV, not a mini van :D

    Sharmi, :) Birthday gift was my old car a BMW Z3 convertable, 5 years ago… we were having my birthday party at a friend’s house, and Siv gave me the key in a small heart shaped box, and when I went outside, there it was, with a big red bow… sigh… it was the most romantic thing he’s ever done…. :D … Drop subtle clues to your husband, who knows he will get some ideas… :)

    We test drove Hinda fit and civic,Nissan Versa.This weekend we will go see Minis too but no sports model for her for though.Just a AC and Power and MP3 hook up!:)

    Ah, I LOVE the mini. I was sooo close to getting one when we moved to Southern CA, but alas I didn’t. I’ll just live vicariously through you.     D is like Sharmi hubby, though…

    i have never been the minivan-or-station-wagon-suv kinda gal, so, despite the kid, no gas-guzzling behemoths either for me… by the same token mini Cooper is out :-(

    btw, you totally don’t have to respond (email me at delectable.victuals@gmail.com if you do feel like responding): do you lease or buy your cars? was curious about the 4 cars so far - in how many years? (am guessing 4 cars in the last 8 yrs, but i am conservative that way) - coz., if not leasing, the minute you drive a new car out the dealership it has started depreciating, right? So, maynot get much when you trade it in for a new one couple of years later… if leasing, well, you never get to own it, but, you get to trash it a bit… hm… I’ve always wrestled with car-buying decisions a lot… was curious what went on in your mind to help you make your decision.
