Finally, My Baby is Here!

I’ve been waiting for months! And she is here, finally…. The wait is over, and boy, was she worth it or what!!! She is my fourth car, and the best one so far! I loved my Z3, it was a birthday gift from Siv, the one and only surprise he’s ever successfully pulled off! Z3 was awesome to drive, but even that doesn’t compare to this one! First of all, I got to pick out everything, the interior and exterior colors, options, gadgets etc. So she really is my baby. And the driving experience, I can’t even describe it! 0-60 in 6.7 seconds! And the handling is great, she corners like a go-cart…

So, wanna see my baby… Here she is, My Mini Cooper S…

She looks even more beautiful on the inside, I didn’t take any interior pictures though. Luckily I found some on the Mini web site, and the colors are exactly the same as mine!

 

Apart from how she handles herself on the road, my favorite options are

• Smart Key – I never ever have to take the key out of the purse! See the above pic, I don’t really need the key in the slot, it can be anywhere in the car. All I need to do is press the Start Engine button. How cool is that?
• iPod hookup – totally integrated with the display. You can see and choose playlists, navigate between tracks, choose by genre, album, artist etc, all that you can do on the iPod can be done through the Mini controls..
• GPS navigation with live traffic update. I’ve been totally hooked to the GPS ever since we got our X5, being so challenged in the Sense of Direction department. But this one goes a step further with live traffic updates! Love it!
• Phone integration – Bluetooth works great with my Blackjack, totally clear!
• And best of all, the Voice Commands! I can turn on the radio, select FM, CD or iPod, select a frequency or a track, make a phone call, enter an address, turn on the headlights -  all through voice commands! Well, she can’t really understand my accent, so I have to speak slow, loud and clear, and sometimes it takes two-three tries, it would be much easier to use the buttons- but who cares! Did I mention that I am a big geek?
