last week,i went to an Indo-chinese restaurant, and the scents and the food made me quite nostalgic about my Uni days in India...and had to have my very fav. piping hot America chopsuey (indo chinese style)

Manisha, mine is Wenge with white glass top from Ligne Roset... I know what you mean about the cleaning pain. We never use it, it's more like a show piece, we have dinner in front of the TV.:-)

You take great pictures, what can I say?

I refused to move my dining table when we moved. So we ate off a 4ft picnic table for over a year. Doesn't make sense when put like that but if we had moved the dining table, I would have been stuck with it for life! I had something v specific in mind but just could not find it. So I went with my backup, which I had found at Scandinavian Designs over 4 months earlier. Mine is beech. Looks like yours is cherry (?).

There's just one problem with this table. When an 8 year old spills juice, it slips through the glass on the top, drips onto the lower glass and then hits the floor. You have to open up the entire table, lift the glass or do antics to clean the glass and the wooden frame while it is still on the table... The 8 year old almost always gets her ear chewed off :D
